Una forma de caracterizar nuestra época desde el psicoanálisis, entre otras posibles, es a partir de la trinidad establecida entre capital, imagen y pulsión. Habitamos una época saturada de imágenes de personas, partes del cuerpo, objetos, experiencias, modos de vida, etcétera que consumimos incitados por la pulsión y el mercado; y nos consumen al servicio, en última instancia, de la reproducción ilimitada del capital. En este marco, el presente libro no propone una imagen sino diferentes miradas a nuestra época a través de las herramientas teóricas del psicoanálisis lacaniano. Nuestro propósito es mostrar a lectoras y lectores de diversas disciplinas no necesariamente familiarizados con el psicoanálisis la utilidad de esta disciplina para ver e interpretar el mundo contemporáneo. 10
