Der radikale Wandel in der Haltung der Politik gegenüber diesen Kosmonautinnen, den ersten Frauen im Weltraum, zeigt deutlich den blinden und zerstörerischen Einfluss der Sanktionspolitik angesichts der geringen Präsenz von Frauen in der Raumfahrt. Die Bedeutung dieser Untersuchung wird durch die weitere Verhängung von Sanktionen im Jahr 2023 ohne die Zustimmung des Sicherheitsrates der Vereinten Nationen unterstrichen, was erneut die Frage nach der Rechtmäßigkeit solcher Maßnahmen angesichts der bestehenden kommerziellen, gewerblichen und anderen als militärisch-strategischen Interessen aufwirft.Diese und andere Fragen werden in den verschiedenen Kapiteln dieses Buches untersucht.
