Der Autor schlägt eine Reise durch die verschiedenen Konzepte des Lesens sowie eine kurze Analyse der Konzepte des Lernens und Lehrens vor, um die verschiedenen Modelle des Leseunterrichts und der Ausbildung von Lesern zu verstehen, die aufeinander folgten. Es wird auch vorgeschlagen, auf die ersten Erfahrungen der uruguayischen Grundschule mit der Einbeziehung von Technologien in die Klassenzimmer im Rahmen des Ceibal-Plans und des OLPC-Projekts einzugehen.
