Having founded their own bi-monthly Poker Club, seven elderly ladies of a retirement community in northern California, known as 'The Trees,' embark on a bus trip to Reno for three days of gambling. In their group is a croaking chanteuse, a paranoid German refugee, a subservient do-gooder, an aging mellowed out hippie, a lovely petite charmer and a pair of squabbling sister’s; one, a sociable, man-hungry flirt, the other disgruntled and negative. Added to the mix, is an no-nonsense ex-stripper and former mistress of a wealthy benefactor, who sometimes fills in when there’s an empty chair at one of their poker sessions. Her ample proportions, and extensive plastic surgery are daunting, even to these ladies, who feel with her in their community, they have seen it all....but it’s only the beginning. This trip will open their tired old eyes to fun, excitement and startling surprises, that could change their whole outlook, as well as those of the characters who happen to cross their path.
