El desarrollo del pensamiento lógico matemático es aquella capacidad que permite comprender las relaciones dadas en el mundo circundante y posibilitan cuantificarlas, formalizarlas para entenderlas mejor y poder comunicarlas. Consecuentemente, esta forma de pensamiento se traduce en el uso y manejo de procesos cognitivos tales como: razonar, demostrar, argumentar, interpretar, identificar, relacionar, graficar, calcular, inferir, efectuar algoritmos y modelizar en general y, al igual que cualquier otra forma de desarrollo de pensamiento, es susceptible a aprendizaje. En este orden de ideas, en el quinto grado de la Institución Educativa San Pedro Claver, existe una problemática en relación con el desarrollo del pensamiento lógico matemático. Es por eso que se hace necesario analizar los beneficios que generan la utilización de los recursos didácticos multimedia como estrategias dentro del ámbito educativo, todo esto justificado en la necesidad de promover el desarrollo del pensamiento lógico matemático.
