The present book 'Space use of Calomys musculinus (Rodentia: Cricetidae)' is a revised version of my Doctoral Thesis entitled 'Spacing behavior of Calomys musculinus (Rodentia: Muridae)' presented in 2006 for the degree of Doctor in Biological Sciences. For this study of the space use of C. musculinus the following attributes were considered: sizes and percentage of intra- and intersexual overlap of action areas, movements of action areas over time, territorial and aggressive behavior. This study, which lasted 3 years and was conducted in 4 enclosures located in a natural grassland, had 3 Phases: i) study of the use of space of C. musculinus during the reproductive and non-reproductive period, ii) an experimental phase to study the effect of the removal of adult males on the use of space of juvenile individuals, iii) experimental phase to study the effect of the removal of adult females.
