'Strategies for Understanding and Enriching Today’s Youth,' with a socialization focus, helps parents,teachers, social workers, youth mentors, counselors, coaches and others in their review of understanding African American pre-adolescents and adolescents. It promotes socialization strategies with a historical ancestral blend of courage and achievement, that will improve our children’s chances of attaining their present and future goals. 'We will win if we remain diligent and don’t quit.' The book has exercises that stimulate dialogue between youth and significant others in an effort to develop a wider range of strategies for ongoing and/or new adolescent challenges. Raising one’s self-esteem is an integral component discussed. For youth and adults alike, God has ordained us to give our talents and gifts to the world. We must not forfeit our Blessings.
