Il cancro al seno (BC) è un’importante causa di mortalità a livello globale. La chemioterapia è utilizzata come trattamento preventivo contro il BC; tuttavia, questo uso ha molti effetti negativi. Negli ultimi anni, quindi, l’era della terapia naturale ha guadagnato popolarità grazie al suo impatto sicuro sulle cellule normali. Il tè verde (GT), uno di questi farmaci vegetali essenziali, è un’eccellente fonte di agenti antitumorali contenenti polifenoli (PP) e composti chiamati catechine, tra cui l’epigallocatechina-3-gallato (EG), che lo rendono una fonte interessante per la ricerca di potenziali nuove terapie.
