Ce livre se concentre sur une étude qui a exploré le processus de gestion du changement dans la formation des enseignants dans cinq universités privées au Kenya. L’étude a révélé que les facteurs de changement étaient : le besoin de qualité dans la formation des enseignants, les questions émergentes telles que le VIH/SIDA, la technologie, la mondialisation, les forces du marché et la Vision 2030 du Kenya. L’équipe de direction a suivi une procédure régulière dans la mise en œuvre des changements et, dans certains cas, a cherché d’autres solutions. Les coefficients de corrélation de Spearman rho entre les niveaux d’implication des formateurs d’enseignants et des enseignants en formation et les évaluations de la gestion du changement étaient également significatifs. Les facteurs qui ont facilité le processus de changement sont les suivants : la volonté d’améliorer l’apprentissage des élèves, l’engagement en faveur d’un changement stratégique du programme d’études et les stratégies alternatives ont permis une gestion efficace du changement, tandis que la surcharge de travail, l’insuffisance des informations, le manque de formation et de ressources ont constitué des obstacles.
